Ricky will not be invited back to host the show next year, for sure. Any movie he makes he can forget about getting nominated. He humiliated the organization last night and went too far with several celebrities whose representatives have already called to complain.

My bigger concern is the part where the person says “Any movie he makes he can forget about getting nominated.” It’s perfectly fine for them to be mad at him, sure. But fuckers, what did you expect? He even said that’s what he wanted to do. Ricky Gervais told off some celebrities for being the self-righteous assholes they are and he gets criticized for it? Good on him. Mean-spirited? Damn right, he’s mean-spirited, but that’s who Ricky Gervais fucking is, and anyone who claims they didn’t see this coming is either lying or the biggest dumbass out there.

Anyway, what concerns me is that little quote. So if Ricky Gervais just happens to come out with the best movie of the year in a couple years, he just won’t be nominated? (He probably won’t, but that’s not the point.) Forgive me, but it sounds like Ricky’s jab that he made last night that the HFPA is accepting bribes might not be too far off. You’re supposed to be a prestigious fucking organization, giving out awards to those who most deserve them. You may not always make the right choice, but for the most part, people trust you to be fair, smart, and unbiased. But now you’re coming outright and saying that because Ricky Gervais, who was invited by you to host your award show, decided to be a comedian in the way he usually is, you’re going to blatantly exclude any efforts he makes in the movie business from now on? Excuse me, but that’s the biggest piece of bullshit I’ve ever heard. Did you just get fired at Fox News? You know, if you didn’t want Ricky Gervais to be himself, you could have at least done yourself the service of going on Youtube to see what kind of comedy he does before you invited him. Like I said, if you didn’t expect him to be like that, you shouldn’t have invited him in the first place. Moreover, anyone who says that Ricky Gervais wasn’t fucking brilliant last night is being ridiculous. Since when is making fun of Charlie Sheen and Cher crossing the line? And I don’t think I’ve met anyone who actually was interested in seeing The Tourist. So Ricky Gervais tells the truth and bashes some celebrities, some of which actually deserved it, and you’re going to exclude him from your award show? Yeah, that sounds might fair and reasonable.
